1. Jesus Christ of Nazareth we all claim to emulate fought politicians (Sadducees & Pharisees) and oppression in the open.
2. Rev. Dr Martin Luther King Jr fought politicians and oppression in the open, on the streets of America.
3. Pope John Paul II fought politicians, Communist Party and their oppression in Poland in the open. At a point he threatened Soviet Union that he would leave Rome to lead the protest from the front thereby forcing Communist Party apparatchiks to free the people of Poland.
4. Archbishop Desmund Tutu led protests against apartheid politicians on the streets of South Africa.
